CMA CGM hikes Asia rates twice, adds peak season surcharges

MARSEILLES-based shipping giant CMA CGM has raised rates and surcharges on a wide range of trades - and will do it again July 1.

From June 15, Asia-Med/Black Sea cargo, though not north Africa, faces a surcharge of $200 per TEU, and from July 1, another surcharge from Asia to the Persian Gulf, India and Pakistan of $100 per TEU - and this in addition to surcharges imposed in June.
